Brothers in Worship is a South African gospel worship collaboration/experience featuring prominent artists Dumi Mkokstad, Sbu Noah, and Ayanda Ntanzi (with expanded line-ups in some editions). It emphasizes shared presence, atmosphere, reflection, and spiritual connection over individual performances—“three voices, one assignment.”

Brothers in Worship is taking it to Durban.

The concept has centered on the Johannesburg/Gauteng area so far:

  • A July 25, 2026 show at the Big Top Arena, Carnival City (Boksburg/Brakpan area), with tickets in the R350–R650+ range (doors 18:00, show 19:00). It was described as focused on emotive contemporary worship (Sbu Noah), established traditional-rooted gospel excellence (Dumi Mkokstad), and rich, commanding storytelling vocals (Ayanda Ntanzi).
  • A follow-up, “Brothers in Worship: The Return,” scheduled for 31 October 2026 at the same venue. This edition expands the line-up to include Jumbo, Teboho Moloi, and Thinah (Thina) Zungu alongside the core trio. Promotions have come from artists like Sbu Noah, with tickets via Webtickets.

These events sell strongly and are framed as nights of unified worship rather than typical concert headlining slots.

Durban angle

No publicly confirmed Durban (or broader KwaZulu-Natal) date for Brothers in Worship appears in current ticket listings, artist posts, or event pages as of mid-August 2026. The existing shows remain tied to Carnival City.

That said, a Durban edition would fit naturally for several reasons:

  • Dumi Mkokstad’s roots: He is from Pietermaritzburg, KZN, and has strong local ties. He has previously staged major live recordings and tours with Durban connections (including a 25-year career celebration element tied to Durban ICC in late 2025).
  • Regional gospel demand: Durban and KZN have a vibrant gospel scene with events at venues like the Durban ICC, Jesus Dome, Durban Playhouse, and various churches. Artists in this circle (including Ayanda Ntanzi) regularly appear in the area.
  • Expansion logic: After successful Gauteng runs, taking the “brothers” format to KZN would reach a core audience, leverage Dumi’s home-province following, and build on the collaborative worship model that has already drawn strong interest.

If an announcement has just dropped (or is imminent), it would likely surface first via the artists’ platforms (especially @SbuNoah), Webtickets, or gospel media/promoters. Keep an eye on those for official dates, venues (ICC, Playhouse, or a large church/arena), ticket prices, and any expanded line-up details.
