Thamsanqa Ntuli urged youth to emulate the transformative leadership of the late
Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi at a youth empowerment event at the Old Ulundi Legislature Building on April 21, 2026. Highlighting Buthelezi’s role in developing Ulundi, Ntuli emphasized building progress through commitment to people.
Key initiatives launched by the Premier include:
- Digital Device Handover: 300 devices provided to unemployed youth in Zululand, King Cetshwayo, and Mkhanyakude districts.
- Skills Training: Specialized training for 120 matriculants in Cybersecurity and 180 graduates in Technopreneurship.
- Inclusive Empowerment: Training for 85 people with disabilities in furniture making and new venture creation.
- Educational Development: Plans to establish a University of Zululand campus and a nursing college in Ulundi. South African Government News Agency +2
