A joint roadblock operation was conducted by members of Hillcrest SAPS on Friday, 12 June 2026, along Old Main Road near the Hillcrest Police Station.
During the operation, a total of 16 motorists were arrested for Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol (DWD). All those arrested were adult males.
The continued enforcement of road traffic laws remains a priority in ensuring the safety of all road users. Driving under the influence places lives at risk and will not be tolerated.
Authorities urge motorists to make responsible choices and never drink and drive.
