An intelligence-driven operation conducted by the Durban Metro Police Drug Team, Durban Metro Police EITT, and Counter Narcotics KZN has resulted in the arrest of a suspected drug dealer in Durban Central.
Acting on information received regarding a suspect allegedly preparing to deliver a substantial quantity of drugs, members swiftly deployed to the identified location. After conducting surveillance, officers successfully apprehended the suspect, who attempted to evade arrest.
During the operation, approximately 183.3 grams of Methcathinone with an estimated street value of R36,660 was seized.
The suspect was arrested and charged for Dealing in and Possession of Methcathinone, and was further detained pending legal proceedings.
This successful operation highlights the ongoing commitment of law enforcement agencies to combat drug trafficking and remove illegal substances from our communities.
