George Kusche (men) and Gerda Steyn (women) won the 2026 Comrades Marathon (99th edition, an “Up Run” from Durban to Pietermaritzburg on June 14).
- Men’s winner: South African George Kusche (27, Nedbank Running Club) won in a new course record time of 5:16:06, smashing the previous 2008 mark (5:24:49 by Leonid Shvetsov) by over 8 minutes.
- Women’s winner: Gerda Steyn (South Africa, Nedbank) claimed her fifth consecutive title, dominating the women’s race.
