Jayden Adams’ girlfriend, Aqueelah Chloe Adendorf, who has a daughter together, says she has no words to describe the pain she is feeling.
Cape Town police have opened an inquest docket after Adams’ body was found at his Cape Town residence.
The Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder had just returned from the FIFA World Cup where he played for Bafana Bafana.
Aqueelah wrote: “Rest in peace my love. Thank you for all the good times, laughter, hugs and all the times we had. You were not only the love of my life but you were also my greatest support and best friend.”
She said she would miss him and may he rest in peace.
Many mourned the loss. President Cyril Ramaphosa issued a statement. There was a moment of silence at the FIFA World Cup before the games.
