Multichoice has announced that it will increase its DStv subscription fees by varying amounts from 1 April.
Depending on the package, the fee will increase by between R1 and R50.
Premium: From R929 to R979 (+R50)
Compact Plus: From R619 to R659 (+R40)
Compact: From R469 to R479 (+R10)
Family: From R329 to R339 (+R10)
Access: From R139 to R150 (+R11)
EasyView: From R29 to R30 (+R1)
Access Fees: From R120 to R125 (+R5)
Add Movies: From R79 to R49 (-R30)
Showmax subscription fees will continue to be R99 per month. Showmax PL will increase by R30 to R99 and Showmax Entertainment Mobile will increase by R4 to R49.
Showmax Entertainment mobile and football will increase by R20 to R119 and Showmanx Entertainment and football will increase by R9 to R149.
Multichoice said that it will also be affected when VAT increases to 15.5% in May.
