As part of its ongoing quest of ensuring adherence to City by-laws and compliance with the Municipal Regulations, the Metro Police in Isiphingo Precinct conducted various operations, which included business compliance inspections, traffic control and stop and searches.

They achieved the following successes:

3 × Illegal structures demolished

51 × Pallets crushed and removed

89 × Cardboard boxes removed

46 × Crates removed

31 × Buckets removed

9 × Chairs/Stools removed

6 × Tables removed

326 × Timber pieces crushed and removed

6 × Vagrants removed

One business was closed down for operating without a valid business licence and expired goods were destroyed.

Metro Police also issued a number of fines for traffic violations, which included obstruction

(20), sidewalk parking (5), unlicenced motor vehicles (5), parked facing oncoming traffic (😎 and failure to comply with the instructions of a police officer (1).
