  • The Complainant: Jaco Pieterse, the former principal of Bergview College in Matatiele, Eastern Cape.
  • The Allegation: During an event on April 6, 2025, Malema publicly labeled Pieterse a serial child rapist in connection with alleged incidents at the school in late 2024.
  • NPA Findings: The NPA confirmed there was no evidence of rape or sexual assault following thorough medical and forensic social worker examinations of the minor, and declined to prosecute anyone in relation to the original claim.
  • Legal Action: Supported by AfriForum, Pieterse laid criminal charges against Malema. The NPA subsequently instructed the Chief Prosecutor at the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court to commence prosecution against Malema for unlawfully violating Pieterse’s dignity.
