  • Black Sabbath performs a legendary live show on a makeshift stage in the middle of Durban’s Kings Park Rugby Stadium. Ozzy Osbourne, in full black robes and cross, belts out vocals in the foreground while Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward rock behind him. The massive crowd of South African rugby fans (many in Springboks jerseys) mixes metal horns with stadium cheers, as rugby balls fly through the air and a giant banner reads “Black Sabbath vs Springboks.” The retro cinematic style captures the chaotic, smoke-filled energy of a heavy metal invasion of a rugby field.
