The Totalsports Women’s Race is South Africa’s premier Women’s Month road-running celebration—a women-only series of mass-participation 5 km and 10 km events held across three major cities in August.

Distances, Entry Fees & What’s Included

  • 10 km run/walk (minimum age typically 14) — R155 (+ R60 temporary ASA licence if required).
  • 5 km fun run/walk (minimum age typically 9) — R120.

Race pack includes:

  • Official Totalsports Women’s Race Series performance T-shirt (sizes limited / not guaranteed).
  • Race number with timing chip.
  • Finisher’s medal.
  • Route entertainment and finish-village atmosphere.

Nike provides a pre-race warm-up. Complimentary tog-bag facilities are available.

Entries Status

Entries opened on 20 April 2026. Cape Town and Johannesburg have sold out (Cape Town reportedly reached a record ~15,000). Durban closed or reached capacity around late July. Check the official site or contact entries@stillwatersports.com / 082 991 0045 for any late availability, waitlists or substitutions (R75 fee applies; usually handled at number collection in some cities).

Race Pack Collection (Important – no collection on race day)

  • Durban: The Globe, Suncoast Casino – Fri 31 July 2026: 09:00–19:00 – Sat 1 August 2026: 09:00–17:00
  • Cape Town: City Hall – Fri 7 Aug: 09:00–19:00 – Sat 8 Aug: 09:00–16:00
  • Johannesburg: Marks Park Sports Complex – Fri 14 Aug: 09:00–19:00 – Sat 15 Aug: 09:00–15:00

Bring your entry confirmation SMS/proof of payment and ID. Collection on behalf of someone else requires written consent including their ID number.

Prize Money

Combined purse of R450,000 (R150,000 per city). Open category: 1st R33,000, 2nd R22,000, 3rd R16,500, plus prizes for top 10 overall and age categories (Junior, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, 70+).

Charity Partner – PinkDrive

The series supports PinkDrive, which provides free clinical breast examinations, education and services for medically uninsured South Africans. Screenings are offered at the events.

Atmosphere & Experience

The events emphasise inclusivity and empowerment—elite athletes race for prize money and records while thousands of social runners, walkers, first-timers, mothers and friends participate together. Scenic city routes, entertainment along the course and a lively finish village are hallmarks. In previous years fields have regularly exceeded 8,000–15,000 per city.
