Breakdowns circulating from sources such as SABC and others put the main parties roughly as:

  • MK Party: ~56.3%
  • ANC: ~30.2%
  • DA: ~8.9%
  • IFP: ~2.4%
  • Others (including EFF and SACP): under 2% combined.

Counting was reported complete in the municipality by the afternoon of 5 November 2026. Richmond had been an ANC stronghold in previous cycles, so the result marks a clear shift.
