- No Direct Launch Date: While Starlink has expanded to 28 African nations, South Africa is one of only eight African countries currently without an estimated launch timeline (ETA).
- Workarounds: Competing services like Amazon’s Leo are addressing South Africa’s regulations by partnering with local middlemen (such as Herotel), whereas Starlink has opted to indefinitely delay direct rollout.
